As of SEP 14, you can incorporate CleanWipe functionality directly into the Symantec Endpoint Protection client package.CleanWipe does not support command line use you must manually run CleanWipe.To remove NortonLifeLock software, see Download and run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool. CleanWipe only removes Symantec software, such as Symantec Endpoint Protection.While CleanWipe can remove older installations of Symantec Endpoint Protection, you should not use an older version of CleanWipe to remove a newer version, as this action can have unexpected results. At the command prompt, type net stop Symantec Endpoint. Use the NET command: Click Start, type cmd in the Start Search box, and then press Enter. Locate and right-click the Symantec Endpoint Protection service, and then click Restart. You should always use the latest version of the CleanWipe removal tool to uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection. Use the Services app: Click Start, type services.msc in the Start Search box, and then press Enter. ![]() ![]() You should only use CleanWipe as a last resort when the usual uninstallation methods are unsuccessful.
